Bridget Gormley
About
Bridget Gormley is an Outreach Officer with the Maynooth University Access Programme. Bridget was the Student Advisor - Disability for students with dyslexia, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD)/ Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit (Hyperactive) Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Mental Health Conditions since 2007.
Bridget completed her BA at Temple University in Philadelphia. Bridget holds a Masters of Arts in Education from San Francisco State University and holds a California State teaching credential. Bridget has completed the Dyslexia Association of Ireland Teacher’s Certificate and the Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing (CCET). Bridget is on the Register of Qualifications in test use with the British Psychological Society.
Bridget Gormley and Sara McManus co-authored the paper “Student Central: An innovative project to support students with mental health difficulties” presented at the HEA conference in November 2013.
