Science Week takes place from November 12th – 19th. There will be different events happening on campus during the week with a big programme of events on November 17th for Science Night. We hope to see you then!

Science Night
Science Night will take place on Maynooth University campus on Friday November 17th, from 6 – 8:30pm.
Join us for an exciting evening of fun free events for children of all ages – robot soccer, chemistry experiments, star gazing, CSI Maynooth and LOADS more! There will be something for everyone. 14 November, 2:30pm Free tours of the Russell Library's latest interactive exhibition ‘Scientific (P)ages of Discovery’ with Dr Ciarán Mac an Bhaird.
14 November, 5 - 7pm CoderDojo - free weekly event kicking off during Science Week! The Department of Computer Science will be teaching children ages 8 - 16 how to code. This event is suitable for beginners and experiences kids. More details coming soon! Sign up here.

December 2023 / January 2024 TEACHERS! Book a talk for your students on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability with Dr Peter Mooney (Department of Computer Science at Maynooth University). Suitable for  5th and 6th year students, and any students who can take the new Climate Change subject at Leaving Cert. Peter can visit local schools for an in person talk, or the talk can be delivered online through Zoom or Teams for those a little further afield. By car: we recommend parking in car park 14 or car park 1 by the Students' Union (see more on this campus map). Parking will be free on campus from 5pm.
