The Mental Health nurse is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.

If the demand is heavy, lists may be closed early.
We are closed from 13.00-14.00 Monday-Friday.
If you need medical assistance outside of these hours please contact KDoc at 045 848 701 (please note this service is external to MU and fees apply)

Please do not arrive any sooner than five minutes before your allocated time.

Confidentiality
The staff of the Student Health Centre provides a service within an ethos of respect, courtesy and confidentiality. Our aim is to operate to the highest professional standards. All consultations are treated in strict confidence. No information is disclosed without permission of the student.
However, please note that in certain limited circumstances as per the Irish Medical Council’s Guide to Professional Conduct and Ethics in Medical Practice, patient information may be disclosed.

Out of Hours Service is KDoc 045 848 701
Available on weekdays and includes 24 hour cover at weekends and bank holidays.
Please note that there is a charge for this out of hours service.

The Accident and Emergency Department for the Maynooth catchment area is Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin. It can be used to access emergency medical treatment 24 hours a day.
The Mental Health Advisor, Sandra Fox is a Mental Health Clinician with over 20yrs experience in both community and hospital settings.
She is available to all students who in confidence wish to speak about their mental health & wellbeing.
Sandra is based in the student health centre with her GP and nursing colleagues, she can offer face to face or virtual appointments .

Sandra can take appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
The Student Health Centre is not a licenced Medical Card Practice. We only issue private prescriptions. If you require a medical card prescription, you will need to see your own GP.
Travel Vaccinations are not available at the Student Health Centre. Students are asked to to attend their own GP.
If you are travelling as part of a degree programme, please contact the health centre for further information.
Please do not attend the Student Health Centre if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
