To celebrate World Social Work Day 2019, the Irish Association of Social Workers (IASW) and the British Association of Social Workers (Northern Ireland) (BASW NI) hosted a joint conference in Ballymascanlon House, Dundalk, Co Louth. The theme of the conference was Professional Identity and Dr Gloria Kirwan, Lecturer in Social Work in the Department of Applied Social Studies was the invited Keynote Speaker with a paper titled, ‘ “Re-affirming Professionalism: Opportunities and Challenges”.
