AIRO, the All-Ireland Research Observatory, is hosting this free one-day workshop on the practical use of geographical information systems (GIS) aimed at those who are interested in getting a better handle on Irish spatial data and the potential of GIS to aid in evidence informed decision making. The workshop is designed around the free and open source QGIS software package and is pitched at those with little or no GIS experience.
