Student Success Micro Internship Scheme - Now Accepting Project Proposals!

Micro Internships
Tuesday, March 22, 2022 - 16:45

The Experiential Learning Office are delighted to introduce a new initiative, “The Student Success Micro Internship Scheme”.

This scheme is an exciting new collaboration between MU professional service units and students. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to contribute to defined student success projects or activities (100 hours maximum) within the university, thereby enhancing their employability skills whilst collaborating with Professional Service offices and staff. This scheme is aligned with the MU Student Success initiative.

For this pilot scheme, successful projects will be part-funded by the HEA Innovation and Transformation funded initiative, Future Ready. Therefore, payments will be administered centrally by the Experiential Learning Office, reducing the burden on staff. Further, the Experiential Learning Office will administer candidates' recruitment and all student applications will be forwarded to successful units for their candidate selection and ranking after the deadline.

We invite Maynooth University staff from any professional service unit in the university to apply. The deadline date for applications is 5pm on Friday, April 01st, 2022.  Upon submission, applications will be shared with the Head of Unit for consideration and ranking if more than one proposal has been submitted.  Our judging panel will convene, and successful applicants will be notified from Monday, April 04th onwards.
