Guidance for Management Researchers

"Although effect size is critical to statistical analysis in the Social Sciences, scholars in the management community have few well-established protocols or guidelines for reporting effect sizes. Dr. Tianyou Hu (School of Business, Maynooth University), Carl Fey (Aalto University, Finland), and Andrew Delios (National University of Singapore) aim to provide guidance for management researchers on how to report and interpret effect sizes, advocating for rigor and completeness in statistical analysis. In their newly published paper, the authors review the use of effect size and commonly used measures. They also recommend standards for reporting effect sizes via verbal descriptions and graphical presentations. "
