Dr. Steven McCartney, Maynooth University along with Dr. Na Fu, Trinity Business School, have published a study examining the current state of people analytics. This review investigates the current reality of people analytics and uncovers the debates and challenges that are emerging as a result of its adoption. According to their findings, a large inconsistency exists among the concept and definition of people analytics. Similarly, questions such as who should take ownership of people analytics? What are the ethical and privacy concerns of using people data? and are organisations ready to perform people analytics are raised.
