The Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education is deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of Bianca Ní Ghrógáin. Bianca, a past student of Froebel College of Education, was an unassuming, creative and energetic leader during her time in the College. After graduating, she demonstrated inspirational leadership in Griffeen Valley Educate Together School and beyond the school within the broader education community. She was known to be a most giving person in sharing her gifts and talents generously over the years in many facets of education. This generosity was particularly evident in her promotion of the Irish language, her commitment to diversity, her skills as a sound technician and her work as Student Union President in Froebel College. Most recently, we saw how she inspired our current students as a Lecturer through her teaching of ICT. Furthermore she inspired many other experienced teachers through her role in organising the TeachMeet on the Department's behalf. We will miss the great and special human being that Bianca was. Our thoughts and prayers and with her loved ones at this time. We know how very proud they were of her accomplishments.
