We are delighted to welcome our new colleague Dr Paul O'Keeffe to the Department. Paul joined us just in time to attend the September conferral ceremonies, joining Niamh Rooney in celebrating the graduates’ academic achievement at the ceremonies held on September 6th in the new Technology, Science and Innovation building.
Paul joins us with a wealth of experience, which includes positions at the University of Geneva and UCD. His work is interdisciplinary, with a focus on conflict, migration, development and enabling education in emergencies. He completed his PhD research at La Sapienza University in Rome where he researched the burgeoning higher education system in Ethiopia and its role in the country's development trajectory.
We look forward to working with Paul over the next year and are very grateful to have him on board.
