Professor Delia Ferri participates in the III Annual Conference of the Jean Monnet Chair

On 28 October 2024 Professor Delia Ferri participated in the III Annual Conference of the Jean Monnet Chair on the Transformative Power of European Union Law the University of Murcia Faculty of Law organised by Prof. Juan Jorge Piernas Lopez. The conference was opened by the President (Rector Magnífico) of the University of Murcia, Prof. José Luján Alcaraz, and by the Head of the School of Law, Prof. Francisca Ferrando García. It featured keynotes from Ms Justice María Lourdes Arastey Sahún Judge at the Court of Justice, where she holds the office of President of the Fifth Chamber, and Prof. Bruno De Witte, Professor of European Union Law at Maastricht University. On that occasion Prof. Delia Ferri presented on the ‘Transformative Power of EU Disability Law’. Other speakers included Prof. Leigh Hancher, Professor of European law at the University of Tilburg and at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of EUI.
On 29 October, Prof. Ferri also delivered a presentation on ‘EU State Aid Law and Disability’ for public servants of the Murcia Region. The presentation was held at the University of Murcia Faculty of Law and was introduced by the Head of the Regional Competition Service (Servicio Regional de Defensa de la Competencia).

 

Professor Delia Ferri is Professor of Law at the School of Law and Criminology at Maynooth University and Co-Director of the Assisting Living and Learning (ALL) Institute at Maynooth University and is the Principal Investigator of the ERC DANCING project.
