CPD programme for SMILE Erasmus+ diversity and social inclusion programme
Monday, June 27, 2022 - 15:30 to Wednesday, June 29, 2022 - 23:30

The Department of Adult & Community Education is hosting a continuous professional programme on gender equality in tertiary education during this month as part of the SMILE project. SMILE is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme under KA3 – Social inclusion and common values, aiming to promote inclusive education by developing, testing and implementing innovative tools that improve the way higher education institutions deal with diversity and social inclusion.

The CPD programme focusses on leadership for women working in the post- compulsory education sector. It aims to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where women can reflect on their experiences and leadership from a personal, organisational and a global point of view. All sessions are participative and learning takes place using group, reflective and dialogic methods. As this is the first time that this programme is being run there is plenty of learning for programme participants and organisers. There has been strong interest in the programme and the curriculum developed will be shared so that learning can continue with other groups. The development of a network of women leaders in post – compulsory education is also encouraged through the programme.

Project news will regularly be published on eucen’s “Inclusion Europe” social media channels, such as the Facebook page, the LinkedIn group and the twitter account.
