Dr Lauren Kierans celebrates the publication of co-authored book 'Protected Disclosures Act 2014', 2nd edition

On Thursday 20^th February, Dr Lauren Kierans BL, School of Law and Criminology celebrated the publication of 'Protected Disclosures Act 2014', 2nd edition, co-authored by Adjunct Associate Professor Anthony Kerr SC, University College Dublin, published by Thomson Reuters Round Hall.

This event took place in the Royal Irish Academy, with a thought-provoking and engaging keynote speech by Ms Justice Marguerite Bolger, followed by a lively and insightful panel discussion moderated by Ingrid Miley BL, Former Industry and Employment Correspondent, RTÉ with Mr Ger Deering, Ombudsman and Protected Disclosures Commissioner, Mr John Devitt, Chief Executive, Transparency International Ireland, and Dr. Vigjilenca Abazi, Executive Director, European Whistleblowing Institute.

Dr Lauren Kierans BL is a Lecturer in Law at Maynooth University since 2020, where she lectures on whistleblowing law at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as a Professional Certificate. She was awarded her PhD on the Irish Protected Disclosures Act 2014 in June 2019. She is the founder of the Irish Whistleblowing Society and co-founder of the European Whistleblowing Institute, as well as an associate with Transparency International Ireland.
