The Royal Irish Academy will host an Information event on the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) during its 6th Assessment Cycle.This meeting aims to notify interested members of Ireland’s research community of upcoming opportunities to engage in the drafting of the Sixth Assessment Report and of the three Special Reports: The Impacts of Global Warming of 1.5°C above Pre-Industrial Levels; Climate Change and Oceans and the Cryosphere; and Climate Change, Desertification, Land Degradation, Sustainable Land Management, Food Security, and Greenhouse Gas Fluxes in Terrestrial Ecosystems.

Maynooth Psychology Students at the NIBPS Conference 2017

The research of four final year students from Maynooth University was chosen for oral presentation and the group travelled with hopes of taking home some accolades from our UK counterparts. Selected for her highly commended work on the topic of ‘Self-Esteem, Self-Concept and Body Image in Adolescents with and without Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus’ Niamh Doody did the honours for the Department for Psychology.
