Writing For Games and Interactive Narrative Fiction

As a writer, ‘role playing games’ (RPGs) can offer huge creative opportunities, as can interactive narrative fiction. If you enjoy creating stories, plotting storylines and characters, it could be the medium that will allow you the most freedom – provided you understand the ‘rules’! This event brings together writers and creators from within the gaming industry to cast a light on the ins and outs, triumphs and frustrations of writing for games and interactive narrative fiction. The event will be moderated by Lindsay J. Sedgwick, Screenwriter-in-Residence at Maynooth University and Kildare Co. Council Arts & Library Services, who has also worked in the games industry in narrative design, character creation, screenwriter and consultant.
