This Postgraduate Certificate addresses the needs of FET staff and other educators tasked with responsibility for redesign of existing or development of new education and training programmes including traineeship and apprenticeship programmes.

 

Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level. We also accept applications who can evidence degree equivalent in accordance with MU’s policy on recognition of prior learning (RPL).

Applicants much also be working in an education setting such as within adult, community or further education environments or a work-place setting.

Minimum English language requirements: please visit Maynooth University International Office website for information about English language tests accepted and required scores. The requirements specified are applicable for both EU and non-EU applicants.

The programme is offered part-time over two semesters.  It will be delivered partly online and partly through day-long workshops. Adult education participative and dialogical methodologies will be used for delivery both online and in workshops. The online dimension will be interactive and include activities that enhance student learning through active participation in webinars, discussion forums and other exercises.
