ALL Institute collaborates on HRB-funded project on Covid 19

Thursday, April 30, 2020 - 01:00

Mac MacLachlan is a co-investigator on a project entitled “Impact of Covid 19 on Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Caregivers”, which is led by Christine Linehan, Director, UCD Centre for Disability Studies.

The project will conduct a global anonymous online survey of caregivers (aged 18+) of people with intellectual and developmental disability, to explore their experiences during the pandemic. The team will develop an online survey in multiple languages and distribute it to disability organisations to disseminate via social media. Data will be analysed to provide a comparison of experiences for those living in different types of residential settings and in different jurisdictions. The findings will be used to develop policy and practice guidelines for responding to Covid 19 and similar future public health challenges.
