On December 14th 2022, Dr Karen Lynch Shally was an invited guest speaker at the Business Law and Governance Research Group at Newcastle Law School. Dr Lynch Shally was discussing her recent publication in the Irish Journal of European Law (IJEL) which assesses the role of the new EU representative action in Irish financial services.
Karen is a lecturer at the School of Law and Criminology. Her research focuses on law, regulation and policy in financial markets and services, with a particular emphasis on regulation and consumer protection in the retail financial services sector. She delivers modules on Banking & Financial Law, Aspects of Commerical Law and Law and Governance and created a new module for the LLB programme Financial Services Regulation .
