Dr Marian Crowley-Henry, together with her SPUR (summer programme for undergraduate researchers) student, Mr Conor Cronin (2nd year BBS Business and Management student) analysed 48 blogs from members of the Irish diaspora and found that FoMo (Fear of Missing out) was both a push factor from Ireland (e.g., emigrating to be able to afford housing overseas) and a pull factor to return to Ireland (to be able to partake in family events).  Their work has been published as an RTE Brainstorm piece.
