Tales from the Irish diaspora during COVID-19

Drawing on almost 60 real-time, self-reporting blogs to explore work-related experiences of members of the Irish diaspora located overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Marian Crowley-Henry and a small research team (Kim Coogan, PhD candidate in the School of Business, Niall Sheil and Cora Redmond, both past SPUR (Summer Programme for Undergraduate Research at Maynooth University) students) drew out patterns across the sample in how they managed their work and mobility. Work-life blend, global communications, and work from home (WFH) themes dominated, with technology the foundation upon which these themes were enabled.
