The Maynooth Law Society have now published the ninth edition of the . The Golden Thread is the first student-run legal publication of the Maynooth University Law Department. The aim of the publication is to provide a forum for students to publish their views and opinions on legal topics. This year, the Golden Thread sought for its potential authors to step outside the box and dive into a contemporary area of law that they may not have come across in their undergraduate studies.

The year’s edition sees a variety of legal topics discussed; from the role of women in society to how employment law deals with the rise in freelance work in the Irish market. The publication presents five authors; Daniel O’Dowd, Adam McNally, Rory Penny, Sarah West and Daniel Mooney, all of whom provided exceptional submissions. Aislin Worsnop was the editor-in-chief of this edition.
