What is the Maynooth University Building Heating Schedule?
The heating season is typically from mid September to end April, Campus Services monitor the weather and may extend or contract the period appropriately.
During the heating season the academic buildings are heated from 07:30 in the morning to 22:00 in the evening Monday to Friday and from 08:30 in the morning to 18:00 in the evening on a Saturday. The residential buildings / residential areas are heated on a seven day basis from 07:30 to 23:00.

Lockers need to be cleared one week after conclusion of the Summer Examinations.

No, lockers can be rented on a first come, first served basis. Please visit Student Lockers for further details.
When I move into a new office am I provided with furniture?
Yes. You are provided with one 4-drawer filing cabinet, desk, mobile pedestal, VDU chair and one unit of shelving. If you want additional furniture you can purchase it from your own Departmental funds with the authorisation of the Head of Department. For further queries please contact Campus and Commercial Services.
Can I purchase additional furniture without contacting Campus and Commercial Services?
You can purchase additional furniture. With the authorisation of the Head of Department the cost will be paid for by your own Departmental funds. Please ensure you use a supplier approved by the Procurement Office suppliers list.
How do I dispose of waste chemicals/solvents?
Waste chemicals need to be disposed through a specialist waste disposal contractor licensed for the activity. For advice please contact the Safety Office.
How do I recycle my office paper?
The Campus operates a bin less office system and your office paper should be recycled in the green bin on the corridor. The paper is then handled through the mixed dry recyclable waste stream.
How do I dispose of used batteries?
Departments can contact Campus Services through the online facility to arrange for full boxes to be collected, calls should be logged as a “Transport” request using log a request online. For further details please visit Campus Services Waste Management.
