About

Gordon joined Maynooth University in February 2023 and has a leadership role within the Development and Alumni Relations Office. He leads and manages income generating and partnership development opportunities for Maynooth University and the Maynooth University Foundation, advancing strategic objectives across education and research programmes.
 
Prior to joining Maynooth, Gordon was Head of Corporate Relationships at RCSI University of Medicine and Health Science in Dublin, Ireland. Gordon was responsible for leading and managing RCSI’s corporate relationships, growing annual income and developing corporate partnerships to support the University’s strategic objectives and working in collaboration with RCSI’s senior leaders, academics and professional services staff and with senior leaders and managers from external stakeholders. Gordon led the growth of corporate relationships at RCSI from a handful of collaborations in 2018 to more than 40 strategic corporate partnerships and over 100 commercial engagements from across the health sector, including with multinational corporations in the pharmaceutical, medtech, medical device and health insurance industries.
 
Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Gordon has extensive professional experience from managerial roles in the Scottish not-for-profit sector, working across business development, account and fund management and external relationships. Gordon moved to Ireland in September 2017, joining Trinity College Dublin to lead the University’s alumni engagement and fundraising programme.
 
In his current role, Gordon seeks to develop and advance mutually beneficial engagements that achieve long-lasting impact.
