Uisce Éireann are advising of a burst water main affecting all of Maynooth. Repairs to a burst water main are causing supply disruptions to Maynooth, Celbridge, Straffan and surrounding areas in Co. Kildare.
Works are scheduled to take place up until 1:30pm at the latest on 24 October.
For the Campus the Mains pressure is low but working from the mains supply Kilcock Road however please use the water sparingly for today.
The following is important to note:
- All Catering facilities may face some disruption today for today 24th October 2024
- Toilet facilities North Campus: These will be affected for all buildings between John Hume Building across to Moyglare Road and will include all apartments this morning.
- Other buildings will have a reserve water supply and will be generally available for use for a limited period and hopefully up to the repair of the burst water main later today.
- All buildings will require reduced water usage, please avoid flushing where possible until 12 noon, unless necessary. This will allow for utilisation of reserve water storage tanks where available.
- Toilet facilities South Campus:These are working on reserves and low pressure mains and should be unaffected for a longer period of time today. Please use water sparingly and reduce flushing where possible.
Estates are actively monitoring and will release further updates throughout the day. Please continue to report any outages through the maintenance helpdesk, to assist in our updates.
