“Humanitarian Logistics: Meeting the Challenge of Preparing for and Responding to Disasters"

Dr Graham Heaslip has two chapters appearing in the new book, “Humanitarian Logistics: Meeting the Challenge of Preparing for and Responding to Disasters” by Professor Martin Christopher and Dr Peter Tatham. Dr Heaslip’s chapters are titled: “THE IMPOSSIBLE INTERFACE? Combining Humanitarian Logistics and Military Supply Chain Capabilities” and “The Increasing Importance of Services in Humanitarian Logistics”.
 
Mr Svein Hapnes the Senior Business Analyst/SCM in UNHCR Headquarters, addressed the new MSc in Humanitarian Logistics and Emergency Management. Recently Svein has been coordinating UNHCR’s response to the crisis in Syria.
Dr Graham Heaslip has been invited to deliver a seminar to the Institute of Transport and Logistic Studies (ITLS) at the University of Sydney titled: Humanitarian Logistics: Challenges and Opportunities. Dr Heaslip is also delivering a seminar at the University of New South Wales in the Australian Defence Academy Canberra titled: The military and humanitarian logistics: Strange bedfellows.
