The School of Law and Criminology, in collaboration with MU MAP and the MU Careers and Employability Service, proudly launched this year’s Dentons Legal Insights Programme with a memorable visit to Dentons’ Dublin offices. This unique partnership offers students an invaluable opportunity to engage with seasoned professionals in the field, gain career insights, and build connections within one of the world’s leading law firms.
On Tuesday 5 November 2024, students were welcomed into Dentons’ impressive Dublin boardroom for an engaging information session hosted by the Dentons team (@dentonsearlycareersuk). Cristina Gutierrez shared valuable advice on the trainee programme application process, which students found especially helpful. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cristina and the Dentons team for their generosity and willingness to share their expertise.
Following the session, students enjoyed a beautifully catered reception in Dentons’ stunning foyer, providing a relaxed yet professional setting for informal conversations with mentors and firm partners. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, allowing students to ask questions, discuss their aspirations, and form genuine connections with their mentors. The positive energy was palpable, and it was clear the experience made a meaningful impact on everyone involved.
This event marks the beginning of a comprehensive mentoring journey. Throughout the programme, students will participate in one-to-one mentoring sessions, mock placement/traineeship interviews, and additional information sessions designed to enhance their readiness for a career in law.
