Dr Clíodhna Murphy has contributed to the June edition of the programme 'Oireachtas TV Debates', which explores the history and evolution of Irish citizenship. The programme examines a wide range of issues including gender equality in citizenship acquisition, honorary citizenship, the distinction between citizenship and nationality, and the importance of citizenship for the individual and for the State. Clíodhna outlines the legal framework of citizenship in Ireland, from its origins in 1922 to the present day. Her segment forms the basis for the in-studio discussion with Professors Mary Gilmartin (MU) and Bryan Fanning (UCD).
