The Department of Design Innovation would like to extend our most sincere condolences to the family and friends of John McHugh who sadly passed away on September 19th.
John spent four years as a student of the Department of Design Innovation where he was hugely admired by staff and fellow-students alike.
Since graduating with 1st class honours and Student of the Year award in 2014 he has remained in close contact with the department. He had a bright and exciting career underway, and never failed to inspire when he spoke about it at university open days. We will all sorely miss him. His good nature and excellent design skills brought great honour and pleasure to himself, to his fellow students and to the department. We are all shocked and saddened by his untimely departure.
A Book of Condolences has been opened in the Department of Design Innovation in Room BL 1.19, Rowan House, North Campus. The book will remain in the department for a number of weeks for those who wish to sign it.
