Third Year Product Design Students Finalists of ‘Trash to Cash’ Competition
Posted on March 8, 2013 by Trevor Vaugh The competition ‘Trash to Cash’ called for third level students to turn recyclable waste into new products under the theme of ‘recreate’ or ‘play’. Congratulations to Stuart Scanlon, Greg O’Gorman for the project Bottle Rocket Kit and Donagh Kelly, Darragh Collopy and Michael Lillis for the project Wellen who were recently announced finalists of the competition by Minister for the Environment, Community & Local Government, Mr. Phil Hogan.
In this year’s competition there were a total of 33 entries received by rx3: rethink, recycle, remake. This was shortlisted down to 10 entries who were invited to pitch and exhibit in the final of “Trash to Cash” at the Science Gallery.
