Prof. Mary Corcoran in public roundtable event

Prof. Mary Corcoran (Department of Sociology, Maynooth University) will take place in a round table discussion on the topic of tolerance and its role for creating a self-identity within the European context in the Royal Irish Academy, Dublin on Friday, October 10, 2014 - 17:00 to 20:00. Mary will be joined by Senator Sean Barrett and Prof. Beverly Milton-Edwards, QUB.

The roundtable will follow a talk by Henryk M. Broder, Polish-born German journalist, author and TV personality, known as one of the most outspoken personalities in public German discourse and winner of the Ludwig-Börne-Preis. He will speak on the topic 'In Praise of Intolerance. A Critique of the Myth of Pure Toleration' as part of the President of Ireland's initiative on Ethics.
