Full-time PhD student in the School of Business at Maynooth University, Ciáran McFadden, has received the award for best postgraduate paper at the Irish Academy of Management annual conference, held this year in the Waterford Institute of Technology (2-4 September). Ciaran's paper was a systematic literature review on the employment, workplace experiences and careers of LGBTs (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgenders). Ciaran, commencing his second year on the full-time PhD programme, was also successful in being awarded IRC (Irish Research Council) funding to complete his PhD studies in this area in the School of Business, Maynooth University. Ciaran is supervised by Dr Marian Crowley-Henry (PhD Management).
