The event will be chaired by Professor Colin Graham of the Department of English. The speakers will engage with the full spectrum of issues confronting the EU and UK as the negotiations move towards a decisive phase. In particular the session will examine the implications for the island of Ireland of the imposition of a ‘hard border’ in the event of a ‘No Deal Brexit’.
