    Education
    Katie holds a BA in English and American Studies, an MA in Anglophone Literatures and Cultures, and a PhD in English and American Studies from the University of Vienna (Austria).

    Teaching
    Katie has held academic positions in the United Kingdom and Austria before joining Maynooth University in 2025. She has taught a diverse range of cohorts, ranging from undergraduate and postgraduate learners to academic research teams. Katie has also designed a variety of courses, modules, and syllabi. 

    Research
    Katie’s current research interests span across the fields of the scholarship of teaching and learning as well as literary and cultural studies. Her research, which she frequently shares in writing and at international conferences, is inherently interdisciplinary and informed by theories and insights from various areas of research. Katie is also an experienced reviewer for academic books and journals.
