    About

    Education: Dr. Muniraj holds a PhD (2017) in optical engineering, an M.E. degree (2013) in computer engineering, and a B.E. in electronics and communication engineering (2009) from University College Dublin Ireland, Chosun University South Korea, and St. Peters Engineering College, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, respectively. His PhD was sponsored by the Government of Ireland (Irish Research Council) under the Early Career Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for 2014–2017.

    Teaching: Dr. Muniraj has several years of teaching experience from SRM University AP and Alliance University in India. He has been supervising various undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. 

    Research: Dr. Muniraj’s areas of expertise are computational optical imaging, 4D light field imaging, digital holographic microscopy, machine/deep learning, and hyperspectral imaging for biomedical and industrial 4.0 use cases. He has authored over 50 research articles in addition to a technical SPIE e-book. He also co-authored 1 US and 3 Indian patents. He has completed two Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology (SRG, JSPS)-sponsored projects.
