Dr Jin Xu
About
Jin Xu is an Assistant Professor of Electronic Engineering, specialising in neuroscience and personalised healthcare through recommender systems. Jin has extensive experience in Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) research and recommender systems, with a focus on real-time EEG processing applications in healthcare. He holds a degree in Computer Engineering and a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Technological University Dublin. Before joining Maynooth University as an Assistant Professor in 2024, Jin served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, first at the University of Galway from 2022 to 2023 and then at University College Dublin from 2023 to 2024. Concurrently, he was a part-time lecturer at Maynooth University from 2022 to 2024.
Research Interests: is dedicated to founding an AI Healthcare Lab that concentrates on analysing human biological data and crafting intelligent recommender systems for personalised healthcare solutions. His research primarily focuses on EEG Applications, Brain-Computer Interfaces, Human-Computer Interaction, and advanced Recommendation Systems.
