Or, swap your empty 2GoCup/Bowl for a fresh, clean one for your next takeaway!
Why reusables?
Globally, we use 500 billion single-use cups annually, and in Ireland alone, we use over 200 million! Although disposable cups are marketed as “recyclable” and “compostable”, only 1 in 400 cups are correctly disposed of, meaning more than 99% of disposable cups used end up in landfills or incineration. As our fast-paced society relies heavily on the convenience of a takeaway, the apparent solution to the single-use crisis is to bring your own cup, right? But did you know that whilst 7/10 people own a reusable cup, only 1/10 people actually use them?
That’s where a deposit and return scheme comes in, providing all the convenience of a takeaway cup minus the mental strain of remembering your own, and without the waste!
