As part of the upcoming Scholars at Risk speaking tour in Ireland by Pakistani scholar Shirin Zubair, the Social Justice, Participation & Human Rights cluster is hosting an event with Dr Zubair during her visit to Maynooth. The event will be held on Tuesday, 20 October 2015.
Dr Zubair, a leading scholar in the field of English literature and gender studies, will discuss her work on ‘Silent Birds: Metaphorical Constructions of Identity in Pakistani Women's Talk’. An invitation is attached, as well as an info sheet with details of the Scholars at Risk network activities and Dr. Zubair’s bio. Lunch will be included.
Department of Law students on any of the LLM (International Justice), LLM (Global Legal Studies), and LLM (International Business Law) programmes have the option of taking an Advocacy module. As part of the Advocacy module, students can undertake research as part of the Scholars at Risk Network programme.
