On Thursday, 10 March 2016, Dr Noelle Higgins gave a guest lecture on the protection of cultural property during armed conflict to students in the University of Limerick. The lecture analysed the international legal framework which seeks to protect cultural property and focused on a current case before the International Criminal Court dealing with this issue: The Prosecutor v Al Faqi Al Mahdi.
Dr Higgins is a Senior Lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law where she lectures in International Criminal Law, Public International Law, and The Rights of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples. Noelle is also the Course Director of the Department's LLM in International Justice.
