Chinese Studies in Maynooth University follows  the tradition of university’s School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures: teaching and research here is focused on culture, society, history and literature rather than on business and commerce. The research mission of Chinese Studies reflects this emphasis, with projects that examine life and thought in China, as well as the connections and cross-pollination of ideas between China and other nations. Chinese Studies at Maynooth University is committed to exploring how culture and politics interrelate, and feeding that inquiry back into teaching.
