Biography
Denise Rooney was awarded obtained her PhD in Chemistry from Queen's University Belfast. She then carried out post doctoral research at the University of York. She took up a position as a lecturer in Maynooth University in 1994. Her research has centred on Metal Complexes and Materials Chemistry. She is Head of the Department of Chemistry and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering. She is Project Lead of the Virtual Laboratories in Higher Education HCI Pillar 3 project.
