Dr Eva Barrett granted a Fulbright-Schuman award to conduct research and give guest lectures in Vermont Law School’s Institute for Energy and the Environment
Dr Eva Barrett has been granted a Fulbright-Schuman award to conduct research and give guest lectures in Vermont Law School’s Institute for Energy and the Environment (ranked the leading university for environmental law in the United States in 2016 by the U.S. News & World Report for environmental law). The Fulbright Schuman program is administered by the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States and Belgium and jointly financed by the U.S. State Department and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission. The program funds graduate and post-graduate study, research, and lecture proposals in the field of US-EU relations, EU policy, or EU institutions for interested American and EU citizens. Eva is one of six European post-doctoral scholars, offered an award to research and/or lecture in the States by the Commission for Educational Exchange during 2016-2017.
While in Vermont, Eva will work on the research and course development project: ‘Developing Energy Law in the EU & Comparing Energy Markets in the US with Electricity Markets in the EU’.
Eva is a lecturer at Maynooth University Department of Law, responsible for lecturing: Laws of Torts I on the Law and Society module; Law of Torts II, Moot Court, and Introduction to Irish Law and the Irish Legal System. Eva is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Trinity College Dublin, where she lectures Energy Law and Policy in the EU on the LLM programme and Environmental Law on the Practical Environmental Assessment module.
