Aneta Stepien

Dr Aneta Stępień is a university tutor on the first-year Critical Skills programme (the Office of the Dean of Teaching and Learning). She has an MA in Polish Studies with Teaching Pedagogy (University of Warsaw), and a PhD in Comparative Literature (University of Surrey, UK). She engages in research within those areas, often employing gender and feminist perspectives. She is the author of a book, Shame, Masculinity and Desire of Belonging. Reading Contemporary Male Writers (Peter Lang, 2017). Before joining Maynooth, she worked at the University of Glasgow (2007-2010), University of Surrey (2010-2013), and Trinity College Dublin (2013-2017).
