The International Office welcomed a delegation from China and Hong Kong who were accompanied by Enterprise Ireland’s representatives in Bejing. From China we welcomed Director Ma Qianghe and Mabel Wang. Both are experts in best practice in setting up joint programmes in China and their periodical evaluation. We had a discussion on Transnational Education in China and Prof Ronan Reilly gave a presentation on International Engineering College new programmes commencing in Fuzhou in September 2019.
The other delegates, Dr. Victor Lee from the Hong Kong Management Association and Kalwan Kwan, from a faculty of the University of Hong Kong, presented an overview of executive education co cooperation opportunities. Also of interest is the possibility to develop relationships with 2nd tier colleges who are looking for articulation pathways. The International Office will be following up on these introductions, in particular any opportunities for articulation agreements.
