Ece Gokmenoglu

Ece joined the Education Department as an Assistant Professor in Guidance Counselling in July 2023. Her experience in Guidance and Counselling includes teaching, counselling supervision, individual and group counselling practice. Before joining Maynooth University, Ece was Adjunct Lecturer in Bahcesehir University since 2018. She also worked as a school guidance counsellor in various educational institutions at high school level for nine years. She had experience in psychosocial intervention studies after the pandemic and earthquake disasters. She attended various trainings such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Addiction Prevention and Crisis Counselling. Ece is the co-ordinator of Educational Guidance and Counselling Programme from 2024-2025 academic year.
