For MaynoothWorks Research Beacon Development, Andrew works across all the five MU Research Beacons, with a particular focus on Social Sciences (MUSSI), Arts and Humanities, Heritage and Culture & Media and on collaborations of these areas with STEM research.
Andrew graduated from Maynooth University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts Double Honours in English and Anthropology and from University of Galway with a Masters degree in Environment, Society and Development. His key areas of interest are dissemination of academic knowledge and research into the public sphere, its translation and how it can be perceived alongside the influence of social media. To his role in MaynoothWorks, he brings experience from variety of roles across the private and public sector, including media analytics, content acquisition and local politics. From his own Masters work, Andrew believes that Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Heritage and Culture & Media have a significant role to play in cultivating researchers who will develop change in every level of society.
