Chinese Studies

A wide range of subjects including Chinese culture, politics and history are covered in this course and the programme is designed for absolute beginners so you don’t need any prior knowledge of Chinese to study Chinese Studies.

There is a growing demand for graduates with a knowledge of Chinese language and culture and at Maynooth you have the opportunity to study Chinese along with up to three other Arts subjects in first year. You can choose subjects you are familiar with or choose entirely new ones. Our team of dynamic and enthusiastic staff are committed to high quality teaching using modern teaching methods and there are currently 85 undergraduate students in the Department.
