Ancient Classics is delighted to announce new options for postgraduate study in the department:
Commencing September 2023, the Dept. of Ancient Classics will offer a new Higher Diploma in Classical Studies. This is a programme designed for applicants who already hold a BA or comparable degree and wish to add Classical Studies to their list of qualifications. No prior knowledge in the subject is required and entrants have the option to take the programme full time or part time, and up to 50% of the modules remotely.
In addition, the department will also offer a one-year taught MA in Classical Studies in 2023/24. This is a personalized degree designed to provide graduates with a set of research skills appropriate to work at the postgraduate level as they tackle the in-depth study of specific topics within the field of Classics. (Research across a broad range of ancient culture and history topics is supported by the Dept. of Ancient Classics at Maynooth.)

Informal enquiries about these options can be made to Dr William Desmond ([email protected]) or Dr Eoghan Moloney ([email protected]).
