Biography
I am Jenny Säilävaara, a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at Maynooth University.
My research interests are mothering, embodiment, and equality. I studied long-term breastfeeding in my PhD (2021, University of Jyväskylä, Finland) and currently I'm interested in infant feeding decisions and outcomes in different cultural and social contexts.
My project, INFEDE: Infant feeding decisions in two cultural location, examines the factors influencing mothers’ decisions on infant feeding in two different cultural locations: Ireland and Finland.
