
Reclaiming the Publicness of Education: CPEP Symposium and Directorship Transition
The Centre for Public Education and Pedagogy (CPEP) is pleased to announce our upcoming event on June 4th, 2025. The day will be divided into two parts:
Part I: Morning Symposium (10:00 - 12:00)
The symposium "Reclaiming the Publicness of Education" will be chaired by Sharon Todd and feature presentations by Carl-Anders Säfström, Gert Biesta, Joe Oyler, Maija Salokangas, and Nika Maglaperidze. This symposium was initially presented at this year's Nordic Education Research Association (NERA) conference in Helsinki, Finland.
Part II: Afternoon Handover Ceremony (13:30 - 15:00)
Following lunch, the afternoon session will begin with a presentation of the CPEP 2018-2025 Report, highlighting the Centre's achievements and work over the past seven years. The day will culminate in a ceremony where Carl-Anders Säfström will pass the directorship baton to Joe Oyler and Maija Salokangas.
