My Maynooth experience began in 2000 when I signed up for a B.A. in French and Music. It was a stimulating intellectual environment, and I hold many fond memories of my undergraduate years there. I continued my studies with a 2-year Masters at Université de Paris 4-Sorbonne, and in 2007, I embarked on a joint PhD (cotutelle) in French literature at Maynooth University and Université de Paris 4-Sorbonne. At Maynooth University, Prof. Ruth Whelan was an inspirational supervisor, and her guidance was instrumental in securing funding for my research project (John and Pat Hume Scholarship, IRCHSS Scholarship, NUI Travelling Studentship). My experience at Maynooth University was an excellent one, and has shaped my personal and professional life ever since. I now have a contract with a French publishing house to publish my doctoral research, a critical edition of the correspondence of Mère Angélique de Saint-Jean Arnauld d’Andilly.
